Growing Awareness: How inner transformation leads to more effective practice

In our work with families, we sometimes encounter disappointment, burn-out, and heart break. By taking charge of our inner development, we can unhinge from self-judgment, stress, and patterns that no longer serve our best interests. Through growing inner awareness, outer change can become less burdensome and perhaps more effective. Terrie explores how engaging in mindfulness, meditation, and awareness practices, can reduce stress, improve self-care and invite healing from personal and secondary trauma. You will learn powerful lessons inspired by her journey in wellbeing to help you:

  • Explore the tools for stress-resilience and personal awareness.

  • Understand the impact of chronic stress on brain and behavior.

  • Describe the benefit of breathing, meditation, mindfulness, and awareness on personal and secondary trauma.
